  • Which PCR plates and tubes are compatible with my thermocycler/thermal cycler?

    To find compatible tubes and plates for your cycler, see our PCR Plate and Tube Selector Guide. Search by thermocycler brand, model, or manufacturer’s part number to quickly find the right tube or plate.

  • Should I use clear or white wells?

    White wells are generally preferred for qPCR because they reflect fluorescence toward the instrument's optical detector, which can improve fluorescence detection and reduce cross-talk during real-time PCR.

    Clear wells are commonly used for conventional PCR and applications where optical fluorescence performance is less important.

  • Which PCR plates and tubes are ideal for qPCR/real-time PCR?

    To find compatible qPCR tubes for your cycler, download our PCR Tube Selection Chart . All compatible tubes will have an "X" in the first pink column titled "Real-Time Compatible".

    For plate compatibility, download the Plate Selector Guide for 96- and 384-Well Plates .

  • How do I find the right PCR sealing option for my application?

  • Does USA Scientific sell thermal cyclers?

  • Are these PCR consumables DNase/RNase/DNA-free?

    DNase/RNase/DNA-free consumables are important for PCR because contaminating DNA or RNA can interfere with results, leading to sample degradation or false positives. Our plates and tubes are certified DNase/RNase/DNA-free.

  • How can I obtain a sample PCR plate or tube to test with my thermal cycler?

    We definitely recommend testing a plate or tube to see if it will work with your equipment.
